| Mixing asphalt at a construction site has an important requirement for controlling to the correct temperature. Using non contact means will allow it to be done quickly and reliably as the IRt/c will not make contact with the asphalt, therefore no probes will be damaged and downtime is minimized. IRt/c's are also used to monitor road temperature in the winter for deicing, and will signal when to condition the road surface when the road is freezing. Waste is kept to a minimum as the salts are only applied when the road is reaching freezing temperature. |
